Database files (dbf, dbt, ndx) access Library: db LIB 1.0

The code has been developed in 1992, because there was no software on market or in Free Source to satisfy the requirements.

There are two sets of code:

  • Turbo Pascal (6.0 and 7.0 should work) and
  • Borland C++ (2.1 as far as I remember).

In C++ code there is one more library – string processing primitives. Syntax is similar to TurboPower ® Turbo Professional TPString unit.

Index files support is based on dBaseIII ® NDX format.

Please note that the software is NOT guaranteed to work under non-DOS 6.22 environment (and may not work under any environment). All addresses (include electronic ones) and telephone numbers given inside the files are NOT VALID anymore. The software has been developed in 1992 (more than 20 years ago!). You may download it at your own risk!

It is not shareware as declared in outdated source - you are free to use it as you wish.

If you will find any problems please report to: sergei@kostigoff.net. I will (maybe) try to fix them (on ad-hock basis). However this is not even promise.

You may download the source code and pre-compiled LIB files here in ZIP format: compress dblib10.zip (file size: 230 KB).
